Das Land liegt fahl im ersten Licht

Ein weißer Schleier verschlingt die Wälder

Entzieht sie dem klagenden Blick

Und ein Herz wurde kälter

Träge und trüb

Der Nebel klammert sich an die Wipfel

Der Winter feiert seinen Sieg

Und Stille legt sich auf der Berge Gipfel

Und plötzlich verstummt der Ruf

Fern nur noch dr Wälder Gesang

Verzhrend bedeckte sie ein weißes Schleiertuch

Und Hass, Trauer, Sehnsucht verklang

Der Nebel, bedeckte beklemmend das Land

Der Nebel, brachte eine einsame Stille

Nur Nebel, wo einst ein strebend Feuer gebrannt

Nur Nebel, kein Glück, kein Hass oder Wille

Stille, wo sonst rasende Wut

Nur einsame Leere bleibt zurück

Stille, wo sonst der Sehnsucht Glut

Ein Krieger verlor das Feuer im Blick

Verstummt das Echo der Schreie

Zurück blieb nur die Leere

Mein Blick verlor sich in der Weite

Als ich den Wäldern den Rücken kehrte

Doch trugen die Wälder den Willen in sich

Ohne sie bleibt nur Stillstand

Und der Nebel der die Seele bricht

Klammert sich eisig an das Land

Wie gern hört ich wieder den klagenden Gesang

Spürte wieder Leben

Wie gern hört ich wieder des Freudentaumels Klang

Knoten in des Schicksals Fäden

Der Nebel, bedeckte beklemmend das Land

My gaze got lost in the distance

When I turned my back on the woods
