Kun mielessäni kuljen muiston hämärään

Niin toiveistani parhaat rauenneiksi nään

Sain nuoruudelta siivet kerran minäkin

Ja pilvilinnan jonne lentäisin

Pois siivistäni aika puhtauden vei

Ja pilvilinna koskaan valmistunut ei

Ei nuoruus yötä tunne, päivä aina on

Mut vuodet jättää taakseen auringon

Niin paljon toivotaan, niin paljon haaveillaan

Jää liekistämme kerran tuhkaa vaan

Ei pilvilinnaa koskaan luoda kestävää

Ken tämän tietää, kaiken ymmärtää

Nyt mielessäni kuljen muiston hämärään

Ja toiveistani parhaat rauenneiksi nään

Mä ymmärtäen katson nyt jo taaksepäin

Ja itselleni lausun: «Olkoon näin»

No cloud castle will ever be sustainable

Who knows this, understands everything

Now in my mind I am walking into the twilight of memory

And the best of my hopes are dashed

I understand I am already looking back

And I say to myself, "So be it."
