My Garden - The Grouch

Sun power glow

And the showers flow

Make the flowers grow

In my garden

Rich soil to sow

Can’t spoil this show

Boys and girls say «ho»

In my garden

Plant the seed indeed

We’ll sprout plenty to feed

This tree’s never falling

Now pull that weed up

And turn the beat up

Dig deep, my darling

In this garden, we all put our part in

Cultivate, accumulate, I’m fully starving

No bullies barge in around here arguing

This a peaceful space, when the ground hardens

Loosen the earth, make it soft again

Trying to yield a healthy crop, lots of them

Go on, raise the beds up, don’t box them in

We’ve got to leave room to expand and blossom

My friends, try this fruit, it’s awesome

Then, let’s talk to the plants and breathe oxygen

We giving them love and getting it back from them

The cycle repeats, that’s how our lives will extend

Keep rising, to the top, enterprising

Sinner inner out, when it’s easy on the eyes then

Make it easy on the mind too

Use a garden, you got to help shape and refine you

Stepping in, trimming leaves and stems

What’s left is so potent, wanna breathe it in

We grew this season’s seasoning

Hybrid, non-organic if we leave it to them

But we don’t, you can’t clone this

Can’t patent our actions in fact

When they ask, tell them we own this shit

From germination

Determined to learn and earn our own ways

Yearning greatness

So all you aphids

Truth is you’re herbicide
