Als ich noch ganz klein war

Da war jedes Bacherl breit wie’s Meer

Da bin ich gestanden

Sah mei’m kleinen Schiffchen hinterher

Als ich traurig war

Da hat die Mama g’sagt:

Über jedes Bacherl geht a Brückerl

Du musst nur a bisserl schau’n

Komm ich geh' mit dir a Stückerl

Drüber musst dich selber trau’n

Jedes Bacherl hat a Brückerl auch im Leb’n

Und manchmal muss ma halt an kleinen Umweg geh’n

Wenn ich einmal groß bin

Denk' ich an das Bacherl oft zurück

Hör' die Mama sagen:

I often think back to the Bacherl

Hear mom say:
