Когда же это закончится?

Рай переполнен детьми.

Хочется или не хочется — нам оставаться людьми.

Стали чужими, а были на «ты», и это все неспроста.

Мы в общем саду топчем цветы, споря с пеной у рта.

Нельзя убивать другого за то, если кажется, что он не прав.

Даже жирафу видно не все, хоть самый высокий жираф.

Его голова средь небесных тел, но видит он самую малость:

Побеги, листочки, которые ел, а не львицу, что сзади подкралась.

Возможно, я зря дую в свирель и не считаю дни.

Я песни пишу для обычных людей: быть может, услышат они.

И в гости, как раньше, мне позвонив, зайдет к соседу сосед.

И выпив по рюмке и снова налив, сядут за мирный обед.

Но взрослые выпили и подрались, достали по револьверу.

И начался бой за красивую жизнь — кто-то забыл про веру.

И снова рай переполнен детьми — они отвечают за взрослых.

А взрослые, вроде, хотят быть людьми, но это без веры непросто.

When will this end?

Paradise is full of children.

Whether we want to or not, we remain human.

They became strangers, but they were on "you", and this is all for a reason.

We are trampling flowers in the common garden, arguing with foam at the mouth.

You cannot kill another for something if it seems that he is wrong.

Even a giraffe can't see everything, even the tallest giraffe.

His head is among the heavenly bodies, but he sees very little:

Shoots, leaves that he ate, and not a lioness that crept up behind.

Perhaps I'm blowing the flute in vain and not counting the days.

I write songs for ordinary people: maybe they will hear.

And for a visit, as before, calling me, a neighbor will come to a neighbor.

And after drinking a glass and pouring it again, they will sit down for a peaceful dinner.

But the adults drank and got into a fight, and took out a revolver each.

And the battle for a beautiful life began - someone forgot about faith.

And again, paradise is overflowing with children - they are responsible for adults.

And adults, it seems, want to be people, but this is not easy without faith.
