Als ein Kind, das in die Kammer kriecht und und deine schlechten Bücher liest?

Statt in des Lebens ganzer Fülle unverbraucht und frisch zu schweben

Ließ ich mich durch dein Geschwätz Netze vor die Augen weben !

Wie konnte ich dir Glauben schenken, meine Zeit mit dir vergeuden,

Freundschaften im Wahn ertränken, Liebe, Freiheit, Weitsicht, Freuden?

Was hat all das bedeutet?

Worin lag der Reise Sinn,

Als darin, dass ich das geworden, was ich heute bin?

Scharlatan,

Für dich hab' ich geblutet,

Denn klein wie ich war

Habe ich nicht vermutet,

Hinter deiner Lehre

Leere zu entdecken,
