la luna a farle da stendardo

e contavo, con una quartina,

di cantare al mondo la sua luce

Ma quando ho visto Gerusalemme

come papavero su una roccia

ho sentito un requiem

quando su di lei mi son sporto

Non lo vedi, umile cappella

che mormori "Pace" sulla terra

che gli uccelli nascondono con le ali

quelle lettere di fuoco: Pericolo, frontiera

Ma ecco che dopo tanto odio,

figli di Ismaele e figli d’Israele

liberano con mano serena

una colomba nel cielo

E l’olivo ritrova la sua ombra

la sua tenera sposa, la sua amante

che riposava sotto le macerie

prigioniere in terra nemica

E al di sopra dei reticolati

la farfalla vola sulla rosa

ieri l’avrebbero ripudiata

ma oggi infine…osa!

Requiem per i milioni d’anime

di quei bambini, di quelle donne, di quegli uomini

caduti da entrambe le parti del dramma

basta con il sangue…salam…shalom!
