No silver lining within these clouds

Blackness consumes their rays

Can we weather this storm that has beaten our weathered bows

Promising gales for days and for days

So many moons we’ve searched for

The answers to proves, a trove lore

The bounty was high, it towered to the sky

It was the Weight of Poseidon

A barnacled lie

Into the depths we find our home

Refracted faces that mock our own

On the Ghost Ocean floor

Thunderous crack!

The mast met the deck

Twenty men laid to rest upon this buoyant wreck

My eyes can not pierce this mist at my face

Swimming through iron and salt, is this the end that I taste?

The serpents' control made clear

The crushing pressure forcing cries from my lungs

Warnings trapped in waves for no one to hear

My screams across the combers

Now whispers atop the sea

My refracted eyes are now their own
