Le petit crabe est amoureux

D’une langoustine aux yeux bleus

Il est tombé à ses genoux

En soupirant: «J'en pince pour vous»

Elle lui dit:

«Je veux bien de toi

Si tu apprends à marcher droit»

Tout triste il s’en est retourné

En pensant: «J'y arriverai jamais»

Il a très beaucoup réfléchi

Et un beau matin il s’est dit:

«Si les gens qui vont droit

Lorsqu’ils boivent vont de travers

Peut-être que ça marche à l’envers»

Il a bu à s’en rendre malade

Marcha droit comme à la parade

La langoustine le trouva drôle

Lui reprocha de sentir la gnôle

Il lui dit: «Tu n’es qu’une ingrate

Déjà mes potes me mettent en boîte»

Et pour abréger son malheur

Il s’est jeté dans le filet d’un pêcheur

La seule morale de cette chanson

Retiens-la bien petit garçon

C’est qu’il ne faut pas demander aux gens

Comme aux poissons

D’être autre chose que ce qu’ils sont
