Den Kragen hoch, in die U-Bahn durch den Park

Wo Penner saufen, haste mal _ne Mark

Ein Bier im stehen, bricht die Nacht herein

Junx sterben lautlos, am Bahnhof Polizei

Maul zu weit aufgemacht, hat Ã"rger eingebracht

Könnt_ übler sein, ist alles halb so schlimm

Der Morgen dämmert schon ich hau mich hin

Und dann wach ich wieder auf in Ost-Berlin

Und bin ziemlich scheiße drauf in Ost-Berlin

Und dann geh ich abends aus in Ost-Berlin

Denn ich komm hier niemals raus in Ost-Berlin

Ich schau in’n Hof, der Kopf noch seltsam schwer

Schnelles Leben voller Träume und ich hink hinterher

Am nächsten Haus, Leute rennen, Schreierei

Schnür' noch eben meine Stiefel und laufe mal vorbei

Im Westen wie ich weiß, genau der selbe scheiß

Because I'll never get out of here in East Berlin

I look into the courtyard, my head still strangely heavy

Fast life full of dreams and I'm lagging behind

Next house, people running, screaming

Just lace up my boots and walk past

Out west I know, same shit

Oh, I'm so fed up with all this

And yet I'm staying in this city

And then I wake up again in East Berlin

And I really hate it in East Berlin
