We said that life would find a way

Through this echoing decay

Forming into time

Slow, you’ll take my hand in yours-

Silken linen, soft embrace

Will I hear and watch the raging fires

Come closer every day?

Skin caresses silk

We built an endless line

United in everlasting sleep

A thousand eyes watching our fate

Enshrouding us with dead leaves

The collection slips away

Drunk on the fear that crushed to silence

As I strain for the fading whispers of my soul

Ash rises from the ancient terror

And the leaves are blazing out of our control

Dancing in the void

Air and space between

Traveling through time to worlds unseen

White and purple fire

Entwined in cosmic lust

And we will slowly crumble to dust

Dust scatters all around

Now enveloping our world of steel and feathers

And the wind that whips up from the ocean tide

Atmospheric nights

We’ll watch the deepest blue arising

And strangling ancient

Time fades away and crumbles to the sea

Into the murky depths of the gaping abyss

Smoke fills my chest

Scared to begin, a voice offers bliss

Darkness descends, musky and warm

Heavy as wood and sweet as the dawn

Ash falls like rain, covering our lips

Bleaching our eyes and fingertips
