I feel it in the air

Shadow-figures stalking me

Through the tunnels of my heart

We’ve lived so long in springtime

Only for the winter to come again

Shadow dreams haunting me

Longings for a distant timeline

They are a line to memories

Clouding everything I perceive

Ancient times and cruel lies

Don’t know what’s real anymore

But I see you in my dreams

Silently waiting for me

Cold thoughts screaming in my head

I fall to my knees and I beg

'Rip this demon from my soul and make me whole!'

I’m suffocating, silent

Together we will wander

And bring life into this place

The wrenching hold of winter’s cold

Drains the world of life and color

How can voices fill my head

Drowning out the blissful choir?

into my skin

Bled or deep red roses

by the edge of spring

As the current drives me away

Through the vast and empty spaces

I will follow any signal

Listening, feeling, hoping, dreaming

Give me a sign that you’re near me

A deeper dark

A longing for a taste of wonder

Desperately screaming your name

Please stop me from going under

In the smoke, a form

Takes my hand and pulls me nearer

With my darkness

You guide me to hope again

Hold me in your arms

And say you’ll take all my pain away
