Ich schnüffle hin, ich schnüffle her

Steh ich zum Horchen stets bereit

Mir entgeht kein einzig Wort

Ich merke alles mir sofort

Dafür empfang ich guten Lohn

Und unsre Zeit, sie ist mir hold

Bald wiegt sie mich wohl auf mit Gold

So steh in hoher Achtung ich

Und der Philister liebet mich

Auch fühl ich weder Scham noch Schand

Ich bin ein braver Denunziant
