Sie war erst fünf Jahre jung

Lebte im Paradise

Sie hieß Laura und war einfach süß

Sie hat das Leben geliebt

Und vertraute ihm Blind

War ein glückliches Kind

Und auf einmal war sie fort und blieb verschwunden

Keiner wusste was geschah

Laura’s Puppe hat nah beim Wald gefunden

Wo sie so gern Spielen war

Tag und Nacht suchte das halbe Dort das Mädchen

Fragt wo kann sie nur sein

Hatte Angst um Laura war noch so hilflos klein

Wie konnte das bloß geschehn

Grad noch sah man sie dort

Plötzlich dann über Nacht war sie fort

Sie schien verloren ohne spur

Nur die Hoffnung die blieb

Das ein Wunder geschieht

Und auf einmal stand sie dort allein im Regen

Nah am Dort am Waldesrand

Alle spürzen im geliebten Kind entgegen

Waren sie froh das man sie fand

Und dann sahen sie den kleinen Hund

Den Laura fest in ihren Armen hielt

Leise sagte sie: Ich hab doch bloß mit Ihm gespielt

Keine wusste wars der Regen oder waren‘s Tränen

Als Laura erzählte wie sie sich im Wald verirrt hatte

Und der kleine Hund sie fand, sie Nachts wärmte

Und am nächsten Morgen zurück fährt

Laura heilt den Hund fest in Arm

Und sah dann ihre Mama flehend an

Bitte sag das ich den kleinen Hund behalten kann

Weil ich ohne ihn keinen Tag überlegen kann

She was only five years young

Lived in paradise

Her name was Laura and she was just sweet

She loved life

And trusted him blindly

Was a happy kid

And suddenly she was gone and disappeared

Nobody knew what happened

Laura's doll found near the forest

Where she loved to play

Day and night half there the girl sought

Asks where can she be

Was afraid for Laura was still so helplessly small

How could that happen?

You could still see them there

Then suddenly overnight she was gone

She seemed lost without a trace

Only the hope that remained

A miracle happens

And suddenly she was standing there alone in the rain

Close to there at the edge of the forest

All sense in the beloved child

Were they glad you found them

And then they saw the little dog

Which Laura held tightly in her arms

She said quietly: I was just playing with him

No one knew whether it was the rain or the tears

When Laura told how she got lost in the forest

And the little dog found her, keeping her warm at night

And drives back the next morning

Laura heals the dog tight in her arms

And then looked at her mama pleadingly

Please say I can keep the little dog

Because I can't think a day without him
