I got my jammy jams i got my teddy bear

Dont wanna go to bed because it’s dark in there

But i must be brave soon i will be asleep

Its normal to be nervous in fact im kinda creeped

There is no boogey man no monster neath the mattress

Mom n dad are nearby dont cry no need for sadness

The closets filled with clothes, no creepy clowns around

No evil trees to tap the window how i hate that sound

I wage battle with my shadows but that’s just imagination

Bodies need sleep see our dreams are really fueling stations

It’s where we get the gasoline that’s keeps are bodies growing

Now do u know what i mean sleeps what keeps us crowin

Nothings more frightening than what’s unknown

What’s hiding in the darkness when you’re all alone

When u bellow for a beverage in the middle of the night

U really need some reassurance that everythin’s alright

And it is

So turn the light down

I got a night light it keeps my mind right

When it’s pitch black that’s when chris craps

I need a llittle illumination keeps the monsters at bay

If im seeing spooky shapes and im feelin afraid

I got a flash light i can aim at intruders

Won’t let the bugs bite i got evasive maneuvers

So im prepared and protected from infiltrating foes

Solar system on my ceiling with some sticky stars that glow

I will not toss and turn and keep the family up

I got my blankie got my wubbie got a thumb to suck

I will not kick the sheets no pillows overboard

I will just go to sleep just please don’t close the door
