Que o mar ia subir

E o verão repartir

O ouro do pó

E sem dó conduzir

Dois durões numa expedição

Rumo aos locais e arsenais do coração

Mas nem sinal

Só ondas brandas ventos carnaval

Se a Bahia fosse só poesia e cor

Você não teria crescido

Nem eu percebido

Que é na Lagoa que mora o amor

Que o mar ia subir

E fazer uma gente teimosa se redimir
