Gräbt sich tief ins Herz unserer Einsamkeit

Malt ein Paradies an den Horizont

Und es weist den Weg ins gelobte Land

Ich spüre den Strick dort an meinem Hals

Winde mich aus der Schlinge des Sündenfalls

Und am siebten Tag bricht die Welt entzwei

Und zerschlage den Geist aller Tyrannei

Die Zeit verliert, der Himmel fällt

Wenn der Glaube sich gegen das Leben stellt

Und ich zweifle doch ganz unbeirrt

Dass der Mensch gar jemals besser wird

Am Eingang zur Hölle, dort wohnt das Weib

Verbannt aus dem Kreis der Dreifaltigkeit

Und das himmlische Reich folge jenem Recht

Dass der Mann sei gut und das Weibe schlecht

Und ewig im Geiste die Freiheit droht

Und wie viele schon fanden dort ihren Tod

Und ich richte den Blick auf das heil’ge Land

Wo Religionen und Verbrechen gehen Hand in Hand
