Am Horizont kann ich sie sehen und ihre Flaggen,

die im Winde wehen.

Ich warte hinter Mauern aus kaltem Stein und

werde bald ihr Albtraum sein.

Mann für Mann stürmen heran,

endlos an der Zahl.

Fast jeder Schuss trifft sein Ziel,

mir bleibt keine Wahl.

Unten am Stand tüten sich die Toten

Viele verrecken schon in den Booten

Sie liegen halbtot in ihren Eingeweiden

Ich höre sie nach ihren Müttern schreien
