Y paraîtrait qu' le père Noël

Y pourra pas v’nir nous voir c’t' année

Y aurait une pénurie d' bébelles

Paraît qu' son usine est fermée

Y paraîtrait qu’une tourelle

De son château serait tombée

Suite à un tremblement de ciel

Et à un glissement de glacier

Y paraîtrait que le p’tit renne

Il a même plus son beau nez rouge

Depuis que le mercure bouge

Et qu’y fait chaud sur le domaine

Y paraîtrait que les lutins

Y sont forcés d'être au chômage

Paraît qu' les lettres des gamins

Elles font une sorte de naufrage

Y paraîtrait que le père Noël

Sans ses cadeaux il est fou d' rage

Paraît qu' son traîneau puis ses pelles

Sont remisés dans un garage

Paraît qu’il en veut en silence

À des millions d' parents pas sages

Qui s’amusent encore à leur âge

À remplir leurs camions d’essence

Et à cause d’eux, les enfants sages

Seront privés d' trains électriques

Qui auraient rendu Noël magique

Sans faire le moindre p’tit nuage

Paraît que tout l' pôle Nord a peur

De voir d' la suie sur l' paradis

De voir le vieux patron en sueur

Avec sa barbe qui jaunit

Y paraît qu' papa Noël

Pourra pas venir nous voir c’t' année

Y tourne en rond et en bretelles

Et en sabbatique forcée

Paraîtrait qu' la tourelle est dure

À redresser, à reconstruire

Paraît qu' sous l' poids de la structure

Le sol de glace arrête pas d' fuir

Y paraîtrait qu' le père Noël

A gaspillé toute sa magie

Lui qui se croyait éternel

Comme la neige autour de lui

Le voilà qui appelle à l’aide

Il écrit des lettres aux enfants

Il leur avoue qu’il est souffrant

Il les supplie d' trouver un r’mède

Mais l' père Noël il est confiant

Et y paraîtrait qu’y promet

À tous les enfants qui l’aideraient

Non seulement le plus beau présent

Mais surtout, surtout un futur

Avec de beaux Noëls tout blancs

Et des cadeaux et de l’air pur

Et un nez rouge au firmament

Apparently Santa Claus

He won't be able to come and see us this year

There would be a shortage of babes

It seems that his factory is closed

Looks like a turret

From his castle would have fallen

And a glacier slide

Looks like the little reindeer

He doesn't even have his beautiful red nose anymore.

Ever since the mercury moved

And how hot it is on the estate

Without his gifts he is mad with rage

It seems that his sled then his shovels

To millions of naughty parents

Who still have fun at their age

To fill their trucks with gasoline

And because of them, the good children

Will be deprived of electric trains

Who would have made Christmas magical

Without making the slightest cloud

Seems the whole North Pole is scared

To see soot on paradise

To see the sweaty old boss

With his yellowing beard

Apparently Santa Claus

Can't come see us this year

Y turns in circles and suspenders

And on a forced sabbatical

Looks like the turret is hard

To straighten, to rebuild

Seems that under the weight of the structure

The icy ground keeps leaking

Apparently Santa Claus

Wasted all his magic

He who thought himself eternal

Like the snow around him

There he is calling for help

He writes letters to children

He confesses to them that he is in pain

He begs them to find a cure

But Santa Claus he's confident

And it looks like it promises

To all the children who would help

Not only the most beautiful present

But above all, above all a future

With beautiful white Christmases

And gifts and clean air

And a red nose in the firmament
