I was at my mum’s funeral, my brother’s nine and I’m eleven

When I got home I saw that everyone around the world was in shock

I didn’t know what the twin towers were

I was offended that I was expected to be interested

Or affected, that day I realised everything’s subjective

It made me question if I’m selfish, it’s probably true

No one cares about your problems but you

Had to start upper school a couple of months later

Lived with my dad, we had no money and nothing

Every night I close my eyes to go to sleep, I end up back there

I Google dreams about losing teeth and they told me I’m scared

I don’t know what of, I’ve faced everything

I’m not just some dumb rapper desperate to stay relevant

I don’t care about your perception or what you think of me

These kids are dying to look real, literally

This isn’t one of them patronising tracks implying

I’m inspiring anyone by rapping, I ain’t acting high and mighty

I just think that it’s a disservice to any fan of mine

For me to act like I got it easy and didn’t have to try
