Серые тучи сгущаются, мглой покрывая верхушку Олимпа

В Афинах невинные люди вином упивались, слушая древние мифы

Где нимфы там хитро так тайны таили, внимая спор Зевса с Аидом

Это было задолго до римлян, задолго до посланий к коринфянам

«Брат!

Ты предал меня

И не доверял, и не дал и дня

Чтобы мог поменять и ведать с тобою,

Но в недры сослали, в бедах виня!»

Зевс всё понимал, но так уж сплелись судьбоносные сети:

«Прости нас, Аид, но не может быть богом живых тот, кто царь смерти»

«Ах так?

Я не поленюсь тут

Не могу велить всем?

Тогда испепелю всё!

Не могу смириться, напиться бы кровью

Увидеть их лица, сотру всё из принципа!

Будет вечная ночь!

(А!) Не прощу я лукавства

Хотел с Посейдоном ты править вдвоем?

Так с возмездным огнем я сожгу твоё царство!»

Так начиналась история

Сказаний о Древней Греции

Небесные воины

Сошлись в этой бойне с армией бесов

Если бы пели бы песни храбрые сердцем

То жили бы счастливо

Кому же молиться: Гефесту, Аресу?

Ведь эта война и сейчас идёт

И так изо дня в день тысячи лет

Бродят армадой, покой ища

Наполнились кровью все реки до верха

И ветром несло дым до неба

Гневно кипело и пенилось море

И пали под пеплом Спарта и Пелла

Афина молила отца

Глядя, как всё сокрушается в бездне

Ведь преданья гласят

Что рождён был мир в хаосе — в хаосе он и исчезнет

«Так и быть, я подарю вам рай, но собирать и помнить вы будете легенды

О том, сколько перебили их, и перемирие с братом заключил я ради смертных,

Но оставлю наказ, — люди слушали Зевса, к небу прильнув, —

И так на года и на века

Нам бога предрекли погибать, как Икар

И река донесет до великих даров

Куда переправит Харон,

А те, кто остались, пусть помнят о смерти, как были дома сожжены

И славят ушедших, что душу Аиду отдали во имя живых

And so for years and centuries

God predicted us to die like Icarus

And the river will bring to great gifts

Where will Charon send?

And those who remained, let them remember death, how houses were burned

And they praise the departed that they gave their soul to Hades in the name of the living
