Сады притихли.

Туча идёт темна, светла.

Двух путников дорога далеко увела.

Проходят мимо яблонь, смородины густой

С попутчицей случайной учитель молодой.

Не зная, кто такая, он полпути молчал

И тросточкой рассеянно по яблоням стучал.

Потом разговорились, но, подступив стеной,

Дождь зашумел по листьям и хлынул проливной.

Они под клён свернули: его листва густа.

Но падает сквозь листья тяжёлая вода.

Накрылись с головою они одним плащом

И девушка прижалась к его груди плечом.

Идёт в район машина — водителю смешно:

Стоят накрывшись двое, а дождь

Прошёл давно.

The gardens are quiet.

The cloud goes dark, light.

Then they started talking, but, approaching the wall,

The rain rustled on the leaves and poured torrentially.

They turned under the maple: its foliage is thick.

But heavy water falls through the leaves.

They covered their heads with one cloak

And the girl pressed her shoulder to his chest.

A car goes into the area - the driver is funny:

Two are standing covered, and the rain

Gone a long time ago.
