Der Prophet - KONTRAST

Vor hundert Jahren hätte man mich zu recht noch zum Propheten geadelt

Stattdessen werd ich heut als verantwortungslos getadelt

Es heißt der Zahn der Zeit wird gewaltig an mir nagen

Und immer sind’s die gleichen Leute, die sowas sagen, die so etwas sagen

Doch dies versprech ich allen, die noch nicht verstehn

Die mich verlachen und permanent die Wahrheit verdrehn

Die nur ihre ausgetretenen Pfade weitergehen

Und die im Gegensatz zu mir ihr Ziel nicht klar vor Augen sehn

Wer mir folgt, dass ist sicher, verliert ganz und gar

Den Glauben, dass früher Alles besser war

Zwar verrät kein Fortschritt was mal aus ihm entsteht

Doch erschließt sich ein neuer Weg nur wenn ihn jemand geht

Es gibt nur einen Weg, ewig zu leben und der heißt: nicht zu sterben

Doch während ich meiner Berufung folg, rast die Menschheit ins Verderben

Stillstand heißt der Deckel für ihre Särge

Denn über Maulwurfshügel kann man Stolpern, doch nicht über Berge,

nicht über Berge

Wie die Reinheit des Ideenguts, das Ziel philosophischen Strebens

Ist die Krone der menschlichen Forschung für mich die Schöpfung des künstlichen

Lebens

Ich bin Prophet und ich weiß sehr genau was ich mache

Meine Arbeit soll eine Gefahr sein, dass ich nicht lache, dass ich nicht lache

Wer mir folgt, dass ist sicher, der verliert ganz und gar

Den Glauben, dass früher Alles besser war

There is only one way to live forever and that is: not to die

But while I am following my calling, humanity is rushing to perdition

Standstill is the name of the lid for their coffins

Because one can stumble over molehills, but not over mountains,

not over mountains

Like the purity of ideas, the goal of philosophical striving

For me, the crowning glory of human research is the creation of the artificial

life

I am a prophet and I know very well what I am doing

My work should be a danger that I don't laugh, that I don't laugh
