Frieden im Tal - Kastelruther Spatzen

Langsam kehrt die Sonne bei den Bergen ein,

Schatten fallen länger in das Tal hinein.

Und dann kommt die Stunde, da jeder sich besinnt:

Mann und Frau, Herr und Knecht

und selbst ein kleines Kind.

Frieden im Tal nach dem Abendgebet,

Frieden und Hoffnung, daß es gut weitergeht.

Die Gipfel erglüh´n noch ein einziges Mal.

Der Mond zieht herauf, es ist Frieden im Tal.

Alles geht zur Ruhe.

Noch ein Blick hinauf,

dort, wo jetzt die Sterne nehmen ihren Lauf.

Mancher denkt an Morgen, ein andrer nur zurück.

Einen plagt Sorg´ und Leid,

dem ander´n lacht das Glück.
