Wenn ich doch nur erklären will

Wichtig, selig, endlich still

Es scheint als wär's tatsächlich so

Ist furchtbar schwer zu formulieren

Weil’s hunderttausend Seiten misst

Und dann

Ich hab hier nichts verloren

Ich hab nur was gefunden

Und ich werd nervös, noch 2 Stationen Zeit

Die Hand auf’s Herz und schnell

Noch ein paar Pflaster auf die Wunden

Linie 14, spuck mich aus, ich bin bereit

Und nicht

Und ich warte auf Dich

Ein bisschen was von allem

Und ein bisschen zu viel Leben

Ich hab viel zu viel genommen

Und so wenig abgegeben

Und mein Spiegelbild sieht traurig aus

Es muss mich schließlich täglich sehn

Und ich frag mich, wie hält man das aus

Sich selber nicht mehr zu verstehn

Und dann

Dann steh ich neben mir

Und ich kram in all den Sätzen

Die so schlau klingen, wenn ich’s selber nicht mehr bin

Das ist kein Liebeslied

Das ist ein «ich habs verstanden»

Ein «was immer hier passiert, macht endlich Sinn»

Für mich

Und ich warte auf Dich

I have nothing to do here

A little bit of everything

And my reflection looks sad

After all, it has to see me every day

Not understanding yourself anymore

And then

Then I stand next to me

And I dig through all the sentences

Who sound so smart when I'm no longer myself

This isn't a love song

It's an "I get it"

A «whatever happens here finally makes sense»

For me
