This can’t be what man envisioned

How have we come to this?

We’ve fashioned a world of gluttony

Where good will just doesn’t exist

Through all I stand steadfast

Striving to be a better man

Trying to stay positive

But success is just not in my plan

Brother versus brother

Trust now a thing of the past

Human nature manifests

Societal downfall comes fast

Egomaniacal beings

Consuming all that we can

Armageddon can’t come sooner

Bring forth the fall of man

Can’t endure this anymore

A selfish syndicate I’ve learned to deplore

All for one, insolvent ignored

Despondent souls

Population brought to its knees

Wipe clean this human disease

Agonized by the world we live in

When does one just give up?

Where do we go from here?

Why can’t we start over?

We’d only fail again

Drowning in our hopelessness

Choking on your breath

The iron chains of servitude

Will strangle us to death
