In my world you are as good as dead

You ripped the heart from my chest

I mend the caverns you callously left

Pick our memories like a scab

They keep coming back

Tear at my soul until there’s nothing left

We are a broken dream

Worn out by time

We came apart at the seams

The sun doesn’t rise in my eyes

Devoid of hope

All that’s left is the hell

In which I roam

You were a staple, an anchor end

I was wrong, you’re not heaven sent

You’re cold

Your cold embrace keeps me up at night

If I had the words to wash away the lies

I would crush them into your eyes

Wish I could hurt, to feel the blood in my veins

Tried to find those words, silence remains
