Se acabó el calor de verano y el sol

La ciudad se ha vestido de grises y nubes

Y el amor se esconde para hablar, quien sabe adonde

Y en algún rincón unos cuerpos se unirán

Primer amor, primer amor, después se irán

Junto al mar la ciudad aparece desierta

Ya llegó a la humilde buhardilla el poeta

Sobre la bahía ya no vuelan golondrinas

Bajo algún farol unos labios rezarán:

Te quiero amor, te quiero amor.

Después se irán

Volarán las inquietas gaviotas

Con la cadencia de un viejo vals sobre las olas

Dormirán en el suelo las hojas

Y junto al puerto los marineros cantarán

Junto al mar la ciudad aparece desierta

Ya llegó a la humilde buhardilla el poeta

Sobre la bahía ya no vuelan golondrinas

Bajo algún farol unos labios rezarán:

Después se irán

Te quiero amor, te quiero amor después se irán

No more summer heat and sun

The city has been dressed in gray and clouds

And love hides to talk, who knows where

And in some corner some bodies will join

By the sea the city appears deserted

The poet has already reached the humble attic

Swallows no longer fly over the bay

Under some lantern some lips will pray:

I love you love, I love you love.

then they will go

The restless seagulls will fly

With the cadence of an old waltz on the waves

The leaves will sleep on the ground

And by the harbor the sailors will sing

By the sea the city appears deserted

The poet has already reached the humble attic

Swallows no longer fly over the bay

Under some lantern some lips will pray:

I love you love, I love you love.

then they will go

I love you love, I love you love later they will leave
