Ich ging einmal spazieren, an einem schönen Sommertag.

Ich kam an einer Kuh vorbei, die da im Schatten lag.

Und auf ihr saßen Fliegen, und Fleigen schillern grün.

Die Kuh nahm das nach außen mit verdammt viel Coolness hin.

Ich sah ein Weilchen zu, und dacht mir Mensch, die Kuh

ist ja doch im Grunde ganz genau wie ich und Du.

Die hat doch garantiert nicht gerne Fliegen im Gesicht.

Diese ekelhaften doch nicht sicher freiwillig.

Eins… Zwei…Drei…Vier…Fünf…Sechs…Sieben…Acht

Es gab mal eine Zeit da hat die Kuh sich noch gewehrt.

Und dann hat ihr wohl irgendjemand eines Tags erklärt

Daß man als Kuh am besten fährt wenn man die Fliegen ignoriert

und sich nicht stört, lebt unbeschwert.

Und das hat die Kuh kapiert.

Jetzt döst die Kuh in aller Ruh unter ihrem Baum.

Die plagenden Fliegen, ach sie merkt sie kaum.

Was soll man denn auch machen, wenn man eh nichts machen kann.

Ein instinktives Zucken mit dem Schwanz nur dann und wann.

I went for a walk once, on a beautiful summer day.

I passed a cow lying in the shade.

And flies sat on her, and flies shimmered green.

The cow accepted that with a hell of a lot of coolness.

I watched for a while and thought, man, the cow

is basically just like me and you.

Surely she doesn't like having flies on her face.

These disgusting but certainly not voluntarily.

One...Two...Three...Four...Five...Six...Seven...Eight

There was a time when the cow fought back.

And then someone probably explained to her one day

That the best way to drive as a cow is to ignore the flies

and doesn't bother, lives carefree.

And the cow understood that.

Now the cow is dozing peacefully under her tree.

The plaguing flies, oh she hardly notices them.

What are you supposed to do if you can't do anything anyway.

An instinctive twitch of the tail only now and then.
