Blau und blau - Joint Venture

Ich hatte mir noch Bier gekauft und ging hinab zum Strand

Lief barfuß durch den Sand bis ich ein stilles Plätzchen fand

Ich machte mirs gemütlich und ich schaute raus aufs Meer

Und fühlte nichts als unendliche Ruhe um mich her

Ich mußte nicht mehr schuften, ah, das war so wunderbar

Ich sah hinaus zum Horizont, und das, was ich da sah

Das gab mir doch zu denken.

man kann fahrn, soweit man kann

Wo blau und blau sich treffen, kommt man trotzdem niemals an

Dabei scheint es von hier aus überhaupt nicht weit zu sein

Wenn ichs nicht besser wüßt, ich glaub ich spräng direkt hinein

Von hier aus würd ich schwören, daß das Meer den Himmel küßt

Die Augen sehn was andres als das, was da wirklich ist

Ich frag mich, wo ich diese eine eben noch erkenne

In wieviel solcher Falln ich sonst in meiner Dummheit renne

I had bought a beer and went down to the beach

Walked barefoot through the sand until I found a quiet spot

I made myself comfortable and I looked out at the sea

And felt nothing but infinite calm around me

I didn't have to toil anymore, ah, that was so wonderful

I looked out at the horizon and what I saw

That got me thinking.

you can drive as far as you can

Where blue and blue meet, you still never get there

It doesn't seem to be far at all from here

If I didn't know any better, I think I'll jump right in

From here I would swear the sea kisses the sky

The eyes see something other than what is really there

I wonder where I still recognize this one

In how many such cases I otherwise run in my stupidity
