Суховей, да жара несносная

Иссушили долины росные.

Почернела земля- зола да песок…

Чтоб омыть край, бедой измученный,

Я бы плакал, но слёзы жгучие,

Я бы в небо кричал, но в горле комок.

Душа, лети!

Туда, где живут дожди,

Туда, где спящий дом

Разбудят свет и гром.

Лети, душа,

Надеждой живой дыша.

Ты лети, судьбу храня,

Туда, где ждут меня.

Ни единой души на сотню вёрст.

Серый холм, а над ним немой погост.

Оскудела земля на месяц пути.

Чтоб найти тех, кто здесь когда-то жил,

Я бы звал, но дождаться нету сил,

Я бы в небо взлетел, но камень в груди.

Туда, где живут дожди,
