Zum Abend sind die Sterne

Am Himmel aufgewacht

Und auch der Mann im Mond

Ich wüsste doch zu gerne

Wer hat das so gemacht

Und wer oben wohnt

In einem meiner Träume

Hab' ich den Wind geseh’n

Und ihn danach gefragt

Er rauschte durch die Bäume

Die vor dem Fenster steh’n

Und er hat gesagt: …

Doch was der Wind mir sagte

Verstand ich nur im Traum

Dann bin ich aufgewacht

Und als ich nochmals fragte

Verschwand er leis' im Raum

Und in weiter Nacht

In the evening are the stars

Woke up in the sky

And also the man in the moon

I'd like to know

Who did it like that

And who lives upstairs

In one of my dreams

Did I see the wind?

And asked him about it

He rustled through the trees

Standing in front of the window

And he said: ...

But what the wind told me

I only understood in a dream

Then I woke up

And when I asked again

He disappeared quietly into the room

And far into the night
