Het schemert

Zwarte wolken aan de hemel

Enkel de wind die met me praat

En de bomen

Ze dansen

De kou snijdt in mijn handen

Terwijl de avond naar me staart

En m’n koude handen zitten vol met eelt

M’n gebroken hart is nog niet geheeld

Maar ben eindelijk wakker met een fucking kater

M’n trenchcoat is doordrenkt met water

De sterren aan de hemel die vertellen mij

Dat ik altijd zal leven in onzekerheid

Maar onzekerheid is voor mij als de enige zekerheid

Ineens vallen mensen van hun voetstuk af

Loop nergens vandaag maar recht op af

Negativiteit wordt hier afgestraft

En nietsnutten worden afgeblaft

Ik ben een schilderij in het rood-wit-blauw

In de fucking kou

En ja ik vind mezelf fucking lauw

Want ik geef tenminste echt om jou

Neem je minderen en geef je waardigheid

Maar laat mij nooit de laatste zijn

Zoveel regels, niets dat moet

Zoveel verschillen met hetzelfde bloed

Zoveel ambities om de hoek

Dus gooi mijn laatste blikken op het witte doek

Kijk niet achterom

Loop met me gezicht richting de zon

En vergeet nooit meer van waar ik kom

Kijk altijd over de horizon

Je bent een vriend van mij

Loop door de sneeuw als het vriest met mij

Ik koos voor jou, jij kiest voor mij

The cold cuts into my hands

While the evening stares at me

And my cold hands are full of calluses

My broken heart isn't healed yet

But finally woke up with a fucking hangover

My trench coat is soaked with water

The stars in the sky tell me

That I will always live in uncertainty

But uncertainty is for me as the only certainty

Suddenly people fall off their pedestal

Don't walk straight to anything today

Negativity is punished here

And idlers get barked

I am a painting in red-white-blue

In the fucking cold

And yes I find myself fucking lukewarm

Because at least I really care about you
