Herbei die Krüge, schenket ein

Der Wein soll heut ein Freund uns sein

Hell und tiefrot soll er fließen

Den Abend mit ihm ganz genießen

Die lange Nacht zum Tage machen

Dazu singen, tanzen, lachen

Und dringt das Nass dann durch die Kehle

Erfreut es jede trübe Seele

Wir sind fröhlich, niemand schweigt

Wenn der Alkohol zu Kopfe steigt

Ein netter Schwank aus deinem Leben

Lässt wieder uns die Krüge heben

Auch mit Bier in fließend Bächen

Wollen wir die Nacht durchzechen

So strömt es golden Stund um Stund

Und prickelt herb in deinem Mund

Und da es heiter weiterfließt

Man gerne noch ein Glas eingießt

Der Ritt auf seines Schaumes Wogen

Hat dich bisher nie betrogen

Durch meine Augen seh ich blau

Und bin von rot und blond verzückt

Wenn’s mich aus meinem Glas anblickt

Drum hebt die Gläser stoßet an

Führt das Nass zum Munde dann

Und alsbald mit tiefen Schlücken

Die trocknen Kehlen ganz beglücken

Und halte abermals die Nase

Tief und tiefer in dein Glase

So wollen wir beisammen sein

In froher Rund mit Bier und Wein
