Die Sonne sagt es nicht

Scheint nur stetig ins Gesicht

Glühend heiß ihr grelles Licht

Brennt ins Erdreich ihr Gedicht

Und die Sonne sagt es nicht

Ins zerfror’ne Herz sie sticht

Tief im Herz, da bricht ihr Licht

Reflektiert in jeder Gischt

Das Licht so warm an diesem Ort

Spricht zu dir kein einz’ges Wort

Legt sich ruhig auf Berg und Fjord

Und zum Abend zieht es fort

Wo die Eschen blüh'n

Ein Platz wie für die Ewigkeit

Der Boden noch so unberührt

Am Grenzpunkt zwischen Raum und Zeit

Am heiligen Hain

Vor dem ewigen Schrein

Sind Tod und Leben längst vereint

Wo die Sonne immer scheint

Die Macht die in ihm ruht

Atemzug für Atemzug

Am letzten grünen Platz auf Erden

Dort will ich sterben

Auch der Mondschein sagt es nicht

Leuchtet sanft auf mein Gesicht

Streicht sachte übers Firmament

Durch Wolken wie aus Pergament

Grob der Wind auf meiner Haut

Schwarze Luft sich aufgestaut

Die Atmosphäre menschgemacht

Im Herzen eine Wunde klafft

Wo die Eschen blüh'n

Ein Platz wie für die Ewigkeit

Its glaring light is glowing hot

Burns her poem into the ground

She stabs into the frozen heart

Deep in the heart, their light breaks

Reflects in any spray

The light so warm in this place

Doesn't say a single word to you

Lies quietly on mountain and fjord

And in the evening it moves away

Where the ash trees bloom

A place for eternity

The ground still so untouched

At the border between space and time

At the sacred grove

Before the eternal shrine

Death and life have long been united

Where the sun always shines

The power that rests within him

breath by breath

In the last green place on earth

I want to die there

Even the moonlight doesn't say it

Lights up softly on my face

Stroke gently across the firmament

Through clouds like parchment

Rough the wind on my skin

Black air pent up

The atmosphere man made

In the heart there is a gaping wound

Where the ash trees bloom

A place for eternity
