Blut Im Auge - Equilibrium

Was ich sah auf meiner Reise,

Scheint zu wahr es zu erzähln,

Drum versuch ich auf meine Weise,

Euch mit mir dort hinzunehmn.

Wie ich einst auf dunklen Pfaden,

Weit von hier in Nordens Land,

Sah was mir den Atem raubte,

Was ich bis da nicht gekannt.

Blut im Auge

Auf wunde Knie

So sank ich nieder

So fand ich sie

So beschloss ich dort zu bleiben.

Was ich sah ließ?

mich nicht mehr los,

Zu entdecken ihr Geheimnis,

War die Nacht für mich verlohr’n.

Tag um Tag in grauem Regen,

Suchte ich den Blick noch mal,

War verfallen jenem Zauber,

Den ich bisher nicht erahnt.

Blut im Auge

Auf wunde Knie

Sank ich nieder

So fand ich sie

Lies zurück der Städte Tore,

Zog hinauf in eisige Hö'n

Sturmgewitter, Donners Peitschen

Suchten mich zu Grund zu gehn

Blickte in des Wassers Fälle,

Hinter Sträucher, Birkenhain

Unruhig Blicke, grau die Wogen,

Wo mag sie geblieben sein?

Schlaflos, rastlos such ich…

Lautlos, raunend, hört sie mich nicht…

Über Felsen, Berg und Heide,

Dickicht, Dornen, Dunkelheit,

Such ich sie bei Nacht, die Weiße,

Such den gleißend' Himmelsschein…

Seems too true to tell about

Therefore I’ll try my way

To take you there with me

When I once on dark paths

Far from here in northern land

Saw, what stole my breath,

What I never knew before

Blood in the eye

On wounded knees

I fell down

I saw her

So I decided to stay there

What I saw kept my mind

To discover her secret

The night was lost for me

Day by day in grey rain

I searched the view again

Was addicted to this magic

I’ve seen before

Left behind the gates of town

Climbed up into icy height

Storms and thunderflashes

Tried to put me down

Saw into waterfalls

Behind bushes, birches

Restless views, grey waves

Where may she be?

Sleepless, restless I search…

Soundless, noise, she doesn’t hear me…

Over rocks, mountains, moorland,

Bushes, thorns, darkness,

I search for her by night,

Search the glowing heaven light…

What I saw on my journey

Seems too true to tell

That's why I try in my own way

take you there with me

As I once on dark paths,

Far from here in north country,

saw what took my breath away

What I didn't know until then.

That's how I found her

So I decided to stay there.

Moved up into icy heights

Storm thunderstorms, thunder's whips

Searched for me to go to ground

looked into the falls of the water,

Behind bushes, birch grove

Restless looks, gray the waves,

Where may she have gone?

Sleepless, restless I search...

Silently, murmuring, she doesn't hear me...

Over rock, mountain and heath,

thickets, thorns, darkness,

I look for her at night, the white one,

Look for the glistening skylight...
