Su mano me arrancó el corazón, lo miró con indiferencia y me dijo:

«Pues no es para tanto» y lo dejó caer al piso

Y sentí lo que sintieron millones antes de mí, lo que sentirán millones cuando

ya me halla ido:

Ese vacío… Que te coloca en el Trono de los Hundidos

Me proclamé a mí mismo Rey de los Incomprendidos

Emperador del Dolor, y supe entonces que mi reinado sería infinito

Hasta que… Un día otra mano llegó a reino

Me arrancó en corazón, lo miró con ternura y me dijo:

«No quiero que sea mío, pero me encantaría compartirlo»

Y sentí lo que sintieron millones antes de mí, lo que sentirán millones cuando

ya me haya ido:

Incredulidad ¿De verdad alguna vez goberné en país tan penoso y sombrío?

Mis libros de historia dicen que sí, pero hoy me cuesta creerlo.
