Ich war die Seuche, die den Körper

faulen lässt

Ich bin die größte Geißel, einzig am Sterben

halt ich fest

Ich war die Pest, der Tausende zum Opfer fiel

der das Fleisch der Toten stielt

Ich bin der Hunger, der beißend durch den Körper fährt

Ich bin die Furcht in den Kinderaugen dieser Welt

Ich bin die Unrast, die den Selbstmörder befällt

Und der als letzten Weg den Tod als Leben wählt

Ich war und werde immer sein

Ich bin die Wahrheit und der falsche Schein

Ich bin das Wachs, das jedes Körperglied bedeckt

Nachdem die Leiche wochenlang im Wasser schwimmt

Ich bin die Bitterkeit, die dir den Atem nimmt

Ich bin das Salz, mein Gesicht bleibt unerkannt

Doch mein Wirken zeigt euch in aller Pracht
