Havia plogut tota la nit

I els carrers s’han posat a brillar amb la claror

Ha fet de cop un vent glaçat i ha arribat la tardor

Damunt la tauleta de nit

Hi havia encara el disc que ens fa de despertador

I un altre que canta tot el que sempre ens ha fet por

M’arriba puntual una carta

I em dius que a aquesta hora allà encara és de nit

I que tens el cel tan a prop que pots tocar-lo amb els dits

Jo em cordo pacient la camisa

I trobo aquella taca de l’hivern passat

D’una d’aquelles nits llargues a la universitat

I després de sopar es va fer tard

Parlant de les coses que se’ns escapaven

I dels somnis de tu i de mi i de tots dos

Lluny d’aquí i a la cantonada

I un altre matí s’arrossega

I dibuixa un altre dia més sense tu

Però encara m’empentes l’esquena i no em sento perdut

I et penso curiosa i perduda

En algun carrer estret d’una immensa ciutat

Escrivint els llocs on tu i jo encara mai no hem estat

I després de sopar es va fer tard
