Который день идет дождь — вода на окнах,

Но в хороводе ночей

Она приходит туда, где закрывают свет

Стекла больших площадей

Она строга, словно сталь, — в броне из черного шелка,

А в кармане — огонь.

Она дождется его, но только

Они вместе не поедут домой…

Он выйдет из дому в семь, потом немного в такси

Потом немного пешком.

Но если мне не веришь — спроси, он, хоть убей, не знает,

Где ее дом.

Он — молчалив и безумен, этот странный поэт

Что вечерами день ото дня

Глазами, не выносящими солнечный свет

он ищет ее, как и я…
