Ich sehe nichts als Tod und elend, gäb's Gott, wir wären lange schon tot

In eisern' Ketten kaserniert, der Mensch kommt, wird auch sterben

Was ist mit dem Mut passiert, haben wir versäumt ihn zu versteh’n

Ich fühle Angst und Leere, im Gleichmut sind wir längst verkauft

Was ist mit dem Kind passiert, sehen wie’s im Traum sich bäumt

Ich schrei’s aus tiefster Seele, wir lieben es, wir morden uns

Was ist mit dem Tier passiert, haben wir verdrängt es zu versteh’n?

Ich wünsch dem Menschen Tier zu sein, sein Gesicht wär grau und kalt wie stein

Was ist mit der Welt passiert, haben wir nicht Seelen ausgelöscht?

Ich sehe nur Gewalt und Neid.
