Eu vi a terra em uma fotografia

Comparei com égua prenha dando cria em pleno céu

Alguém me disse que é aqui que a gente mora

Se é verdadeira essa história a égua tá amargando féu

Que nem a bela menina da vizinhança

Que está sofrendo a amargura de um bordel

Se isso é verdade eu sou seu filho e não seu dono

Isso tá tirando o sono de um homem simples como eu

Bola azul terra mais nobre que o ouro

Tão te arrancando o couro

Pra vender não sei pra quem

Bola azul estão te metendo o malho

Te perdendo no baralho

Sabe lá meu Deus pra quem

Mal comparando esta linda fotografia

Me parece «inté» Maria «engravidada» de Jesus

E quando eu comparei com égua dando cria

É que me faltava guia

É que falatava luz

Mas se é verdade que é aqui que a gente mora

Eu sempre cuidei muito bem disso daqui

E além do mais eu sou seu filho e não seu dono

Nada vai tirar meu sono

Eu vou chorar mas vou dormir

I saw the earth in a photograph

I compared it with a pregnant mare giving birth in the sky

Someone told me that this is where we live

If this story is true, the mare is getting bitter

Like the beautiful girl from the neighborhood

Who is suffering the bitterness of a brothel
