Von irgendwelchen terroristischen Taten

Oder von viel zu vielen Kriegen in verschiedenen Staaten

Von den Familien der Soldaten

Vertriebenen Menschen, lachenden Präsidenten

Rüstungsindustrien in denen die Augen glänzen

Von 4 Millionen ohne Arbeit und Lohn

Und von den über 50 000 die die Straßen bewohnen

Von ausgegrenzten Ausländern

Ganz egal was wir tun, von Perspektivlosigkeit der deutschen Jugend an Schul’n

Von all den Dingen die passier’n

Die wir alle spür'n uns dazu bringen kalt zu sein

Und negatives zu fühl'n, an negatives zu denken

Und negatives zu tun

Denn wo sind Gott und Religion wenn Rezession

Und Agression uns droh’n

Wir haben den Glauben an so vieles verlorn

Vieles verdorben und so wenig geborn

Zumindest scheint es so doch es geht weiter so

Es sei denn dass wir endlich kapier’n dass wir es sind

Die unser Leben regieren

Es gibt so vieles, was schlecht ist

So viele Menschen sind verzweifelt am Kämpfen für kleinste Rechte

Und bringen den Stress nach Hause mit, was ihre Frauen nur belastet

Keiner von beiden weiß wohin mit dem Frust

Streit ist normal in dicker Luft

Doch wer das Leid trägt sind die Kinder am Schluß

Und da fragt man sich doch im Ernst warum Jugendzentren dicht machen

Statt Krieg zu führen für Millionen muß man’s schön für die Kinder machen

Mich interessiert zwar was passiert ist, doch mehr noch woher es stammt

So many people are desperate to fight for the smallest of rights

And bring the stress home with them, which only burdens their wives

Neither of them knows what to do with the frustration

Arguing is normal in thick air

And then you seriously ask yourself why youth centers are closing

Instead of waging war for millions, you have to make things nice for the children
