Vi fann inget husrum du lille

Det fanns inga platser att se

Till sist blev du lagd i en krubba

Nu fyller du mörkret med fred

Och värmen från husdjuren blandas

Med doft av din nyfödda hud

Så starkt och så nära ditt ansikte är
