And that’s somebody’s son somebody’s mom’s now

And I’m doing what I want too care about the consequences

Tryna fill the void inside that I know is missing

Or would it be better if I just got a nina

Put a hole in they dome cause I don’t like them either

I don’t know what to say and yet I’m feeling drained

Thinking bout that time my dad took me for ice cream

It’s ironic how I remember being that I was only three

Gave me a dollar kissed my cheek said he’d be back

I fell asleep called at ma dollar in my dream

That’s the last time I seen him

Thought about searching but ma pride kept speaking

Plus I had my mama feel like I ain’t really need him

I never cried though it hurt when I see ma friends playing with They dad

Man that pain was the worse

Find myself thinking bout em I asked my mom like how was he

Man she ain’t even speak about him

That made me wonder did he hurt her did he cheat on her

Them typa thoughts made me wanna pull the heat on him

If you could hear me somewhere listening I’m a dad now

That’s why I don’t know how you could ever leave

But I guess to each his own

If I tell my kids I’m leaving they know I’m coming home
