Вышло вот какое дело:

Моль

Тюленью шубу съела.

На дворе трещит мороз,

А Тюлень и гол и бос!

Побежал Тюлень к Еноту:

— Не в чем выйти на работу!

Дай мне шубу, куманек!

Одолжи хоть на денек!

Отвечал Енот со смехом:

— Дорожу

Своим я мехом!

Что ж ты,

Глупенький зверек,

Шубу плохо так берег?

— Дайте шубу мне, бобры!

Дайте, будьте так добры!

А бобры ему в ответ:

— Лишней шубы, братец, нет!

— Может, мне помогут лисы?

— Что ты!

Мы и сами лысы!

Ты бы лучше сбегал

К Волку —

Там скорей добьешься толку!

Не полезу к Волку в зубы!

Лучше я схожу

К Моржу —

Может, шубу

Одолжу…

Буркнул:

Постоял Тюлень

У двери…

Мех собрал свой

И поплелся

Как на малого ребенка.

Натянуть не мог Тюлень.

Застегнулся,

Шаг шагнул —

И растянулся!

Крикнул он на Скорняка:

— Шуба слишком коротка!

Это просто явный брак!

В ней ходить нельзя никак!

— Ну, — сказал Скорняк лукавый,

Пану трудно угодить!

А зачем же вам ходить?
