Die Nacht war lang

Ich fragte mich

Wie soll es weitergehen

Und dunkle Wolken zogen übers Meer

Ich saß nur da

Und tat sonst nichts

Als nur die Wand ansehen

Und der Fluss floss ruhig vor sich her

Es zog mich raus

Ich sah mich um

Ich ging nur, um zu gehen

Und Schatten tanzten mit dem Wind

Ich dachte mir

Vielleicht sind wir

Nicht da, um zu verstehen

Wir vergehen, wie wir gekommen sind

Dann kam der Tag mit seinen Farben

Er kam zu mir und der war neu

Und ich muss sagen, trotz aller Plagen

Es geht mir gut

Die Welt ist schön

Ich lebe gern

Die Sonne schaut zur Tür herein

Und sieht mich strahlend an

Sagt mir, sie hätt' noch was zu tun

Doch später möcht' sie bei mir sein

Ich weiß, ich bin ihr Mann

Und sie wirft mir mit Blicken Küsse zu

Und wie wir durch die Landschaft fahren

Mit Freunden oder nur zu zweit

An solchen Tagen möchte ich ihr sagen:

Ich liebe Dich

Und Gott zieht durch die Galaxien

Er ist so einsam und allein

An manchen Tagen scheint er zu sagen

Ich bin o. k

The world is beautiful

But later she wants to be with me

And as we drive through the countryside

And God moves through the galaxies

He's so lonely and alone
