Die Bilder wirken nicht real

Ich starre sie an wie jedes Mal

Ein Leben das man hier nicht kennt

Dort auf dem fernen Kontinent

Ihre Toten werden nicht gezählt

Nur die Tränen kommen in meine Welt

Die Hoffnung die mit ihnen starb

Ist das Elend unserer Gegenwart

Mit unseren Waffen führen sie Krieg

Weil doch immer nur der Hunger blieb

Der Starke der den Schwachen frisst

Und wir lassen ihnen was übrig ist

Ich kenn dafür doch nur ein Wort

Globalisierung — Massenmord

Es ist zu spät um zu verzeihen

Und dein Betroffen sein

Wir zahlen dafür mit ihrem Blut

Denn Menschen gibt es dort genug

Ein ganzes Land das weiterstirbt

Weil es verachtet wird

Ich schließe meine Augen

Man hat mich blind gemacht

Wie fühlt sich wohl ein Mensch der

Nichts zu essen hat…

Und jetzt mache ich die Augen auf

Man hat das Elend eingekauft

Die Huren dort am Straßenrand

Das halbe Volk an AIDS erkrankt

Seit Jahren hat man schon gedacht

Die Sklaverei sei abgeschafft

Strukturen vom Ausland kontrolliert

Weil nach wie vor das Geld regiert

Und wird jenseits des großen Meeres

Mal jemand hungrig sein

Schiebt er sich ne Tonne Big Mac’s

In seinen fetten Bauch hinein…

They make war with our weapons

You bought the misery

The whores there on the side of the road

Half the people get sick with AIDS

You've been thinking for years

Slavery had been abolished

Structures controlled from abroad

Because money still rules

And will beyond the great sea

Somebody be hungry

He pushes a ton of Big Mac's

Into his fat belly...
