Von draußen weht ein eisiger Wind

Durch das offene Fenster, von Zweifel bestimmt

Schleicht etwas durch die Flure

Ganz alleine geleitet von seinem Instinkt

Alles Menschliche fehlt jetzt

Nur noch seine Augen erinnern an ein' Seelenrest

Das Gesicht von Tränen benetzt und verstört

Er betet dafür, dass ihn jemand erhört

Seine Lippen bibbern, aus Worten wird ein Wimmern

Er will einfach vergessen, doch er zwingt sich zu erinnern

Was zum Teufel hat ihn nur dazu gebracht?

Vielleicht hat ihn der Teufel ja dazu gemacht

Er glaubte an Gott, glaubte an die Frommen

Doch dann hat man ihm seinen Glauben genommen

Vor ihm liegt die Leiche, die Leiche seines Priesters

Das hier nennt sich Rache — Ich hoffe, du genießt das

All die dunklen Engel malen rote Bilder

Hoffen auf Erlösung, waren tote Kinder

Jetzt sind sie erwacht, können nicht vergessen

Alles, was sie haben, ist dieses Versprechen

Es klingelt an der Tür und sie wird geöffnet

Heftige Umarmung, obwohl sie so erschöpft ist

Regennasser Mantel, den ganzen Weg gerannt

Schminke ist verwaschen, sie hat sie kaum erkannt

«Danke, dass du da bist, immer wenn ich dich brauche.»

Sie hört ihre Geschichte und kann es fast nicht glauben

All die Jahre schweigen, immer nur verdrängen

Was würde sie nur machen, ohne ihren Engel?

Sie macht ihr einen Tee und legt sie dann schlafen

Zieht sich an und geht raus, um jemand zu bestrafen

Sie hat das nicht geahnt und hat es sehr bedauert

Sie wartet vor der Tür, dchon stundenlang gelauert

Als er endlich rauskommt, bemerkt er ihre Schwester

«Was willst du hier du Schlampe?», er sieht zu spät ihr Messer

«Deine Frau zu schlagen?

Ich hab gehört du liebst das?»

Das hier nennt sich Rache — Ich hoffe, du genießt das
