Aus dem Narbengewebe der Vergangenheit

Nichts gelernt in all der verdammten Zeit

Ich hab' all meine Freunde in Feinde verwandelt

Heuchler und Geier verschwanden

Nur eine Handvoll blieb zurück, wieder rückt

Das Ende näher, vom Spiel erdrückt

Sieh' ein Stück hinein in meine dunkle Seele

Bevor ich nach dir greif' und mit dir untergehe

Sieh mich an, ich hab' mich in dem Feuer gesuhlt

Mit Dämonen gespielt und vom Teufel geschult

Viel zu viel hab' ich geschwiegen, nichts gesagt

Das Schwarze hat mir alles genommen

Im weißen Nichts sah ich alles verschwommen,(verschwommen)

Also habe ich alles vergessen und dachte, ich sehe wieder transparent

Aber leider reicht es nicht aus, wenn man einfach nur glaubt oder anders denkt

Langsam staut sich in mir eine Wut, die sich nicht mehr so einfach

kontrollieren lässt

Also stelle ich mir vor, dass mein Herz in einem weichen Kokon voller Liebe

steckt

Doch dann reißt eine knochige Hand alles auf und es will dieses Herz verspeis’n

Und mir fällt wieder ein, dass ich mit diesem dunklen Begleiter im Herzen

allein' bin

Eine Geißel meines Geistes

Der Blick in den Spiegel erlaubt keinerlei Zweifel

Ich hab' das alles nicht gewollt, aber gab meine Seele weg und hab' nichts

An anger is slowly building up in me that is no longer that easy

But then a bony hand rips everything open and it wants to eat this heart

A look in the mirror leaves no room for doubt
